Anjuman Mohibeen Mashaikh Baghar Shareef (UK Mission)

The UK Mission (known as Anjuman Mohibeen Mashaikh Baghar Shareef (UK)) was established in late 1998, upon the passing away of the great saint Hazrat Maulana Muhammad Yaqub Sahib (RA) on 7th April 1998 (9 Zil-Hajj 1418AH), whereby the elders in the UK, after consulting with Hazrat Peer Sahibzadah Dr Sajid Ur Rehman Sahib decided to hold an annual Urs Shareef every April to commemorate the life and teachings of Hazrat Maulana Muhammad Yaqub Sahib (RA).

Hazrat Peer Sahib's first visit to the UK to mark the occasion was in April 1999, and His Excellency's arrival each April attracts many people to the Urs Shareef as well as many visitors from across the country, who benefit from his intellectual and spiritual wisdom.

The UK Mission comprises a highly committed number of individuals, who make monthly contributions to assist with the maintenance of Baghar Shareef and of the Dar-ul-Uloom. The Mission also helps to prepare for Hazrat Peer Sahib's arrival to the UK, along with the cost of the Urs Shareef, which is held at Highfield Community Centre, Highfield Lane, Keighley, West Yorkshire.

During his usual 4-week stay, Hazrat Peer Sahib participates in various religious functions across the nation, delivering his message of peace and love in light of the Holy Qur'an and Sunnah, and propagates the teachings of our Beloved Prophet (PBUH). In order to help foster mutual understanding between people of different faiths, Hazrat Peer Sahib also contributes to the annual inter-faith dialogue with Christian leaders from the West Yorkshire community.

The purpose of Hazrat Peer Sahib's visits is to create a community based on Islamic principles and promote a closer understanding among the people of Islamic faith, as well as to organise religious, cultural, and other related activities to foster community ties.

This non-profit organisation serves to build information bridges between scholars of Islam, and the wider Muslim community. The organisation also contributes to help in Islamic teachings at Baghar Shareef, particularly at Dar-ul-Uloom Yaqubiya, and support is given to all individuals, families and organisations via many facets.
