Baghar Shareef Mission Statement:

To provide Islamic and secular education, and spiritual guidance for seekers.

The monastery of Baghar Shareef has stood on this ground for more than 175 years in one form or another. Its mission is as clear today as it was then; to deliver the message of our Holy Prophet Muhammad (SAW) in light of the Holy Quran and the Hadith, and to propagate the teachings and wisdom of Sufism.

Through the decades many great scholars and saints have shared their pearls of wisdom with those fortunate enough to have been present at Baghar Shareef, but the legacy of their teachings has continued. These teachings and their way of life has spread out of this once oasis and has enlightened a people many hundreds of miles away.

The silsila of Baghar Shareef is no longer restricted to the shores of Pakistan, but through the spiritual guidance and leadership of Hazrat Peer Sahibzadah Dr Sajid Ur Rehman Sahib it has spread across many continents.

One of the largest communities lies in England, a place where many of those who left Pakistan for a better life finally settled. These early migrants may have left their country behind them but their love for Baghar Shareef has always been instilled in their hearts and now in the hearts of their children.

Today Baghar Shareef is at the centre of excellence for secular and religious education, and constantly undergoes physical renovation in order to accommodate the ever-increasing demands of students and their resources.

Baghar Shareef has always been and will always be a non-profit organization, Insha-Allah, providing to the needs of the students, the community and to those who require it. These needs include such things as food, clothing, medicine, spiritual guidance etc.
